August 15, 2003 - Talbert's Rebar Estimating is now Incroprated.

As of August 1st, 2003 it is my pleasure to announce that we have finally made the change to a corporation. There are still a few little bugs to be worked out, but we are confident that there will be no delay in our services. This change was not expected to take place until January 1st 2004, but with the overwhelming response and the high demand for accurate estimates we deemed it necessary to make this change as soon as possible.

There will be very few changes that you will be able to see from outside our office, but the internal changes are taking place at a rapid pace. We now have the capability to handle plans electronically. We can receive plans via e-mail or on a CD and plot only the sheets required for an estimate. This will add up to a substantial savings in shipping alone.

There are also plans for the near future, to expand from a simple estimating firm to a full service estimating and detailing operation. I am in talks with a few good detailers who are very interested in helping our company grow.

Rest assured that when our detailing operation is up and running we will work under the same ethics code to assure you top quality shop drawings. We feel that to have the shop drawings done by the same entity that does the estimate has benefits. Let’s face it. Who knows more about a project at this phase of construction than the estimator who did the takeoff? To have the project estimator on hand to help the detailer understand how the drawings were interpreted is a great tool in eliminating costly, time consuming mistakes.
